Teams, Drivers and Cars This is the area which requires the most up-dating to make GPL representative of the 1967 season. It should be said straight away that a perfect representation of the season is not possible. Formula 1 in 1967 was very different to today, and there were enormous variations in teams, drivers and cars during the season. |

Teams
|
GPL is limited to seven teams. In 1967 there were eight works teams, and five other teams that entered Grand Prix on a regular basis. There is no real option but to use the seven available teams to cover the main works teams (omitting McLaren, which had the fewest entries - 6 in the season). The private teams can be included by adding their drivers to the works teams. The fictional Coventry and Murasama teams are substitutes for the Cooper and Honda teams because of licensing problems. The Lo67 Season Fix file replaces the Coventry and Murasama teams with the real Cooper and Honda teams. |

1967 Drivers
|
There were no fewer than 41 drivers who participated in the 1967 season. Again, presumably because of licensing problems, the 19 drivers chosen omit some important drivers, including Jackie Stewart and Mike Spence, who competed in all 11 GPs in 1967. The Lo67 Season Fix file includes a more representative choice of drivers. Click on the "1967 Drivers" link for the rationale. |
